The Society has an annual meeting which features a combination of excellent scientific papers and spiritual presentations. An attempt is made to have all of the lectures presented by ophthalmic physicians, since we seem to relate more closely with others from similar backgrounds. So that the meetings will appeal to the entire family, special Bible-based programs are provided for the spouses, as well as programs and activities for children. A special invitation is extended to medical students, house officers and fellows to apply for waiver of regisration fees, evening meals, and hotel accommodations as the Lord provides, to encourage young doctors and their families to come and be strengthened both professionally and spiritually. These grants are also extended to medical missionaries or anyone in need.
