It is a privilege to deliver my first President's Report. As you know, it has been a very active and eventful year for the Florida Society of Ophthalmology (FSO). Thanks to the dedicated efforts of many people, led by our Immediate Past President, Bradley Fouraker, MD, our Society is in great shape. The FSO is the premier association for ophthalmologists in our state. We strive to represent the best interests of our patients and our profession. We focus on three areas: education, advocacy, and outreach.
Welcome to the online home for the Florida Society of Ophthalmology (FSO)—a nonprofit medical society focused on protecting the medical specialty of ophthalmology. The FSO represents more than 500 physician members in the state and provides continuing medical education for physicians and other healthcare professionals to advance patient care in the realm of ophthalmology.
Existing FSO members will find that our new site provides a robust, expanded platform for participating in the conversation about the field of ophthalmology.
The enhanced website provides numerous resources for patients, members and partnering organizations—including our Eye MD database, member blogs, educational resources and much more.
While open to all visitors, our site also features certain members-only privileges, such as access to our publications, slides, discussion forum, and chat feature.
New visitors interested in learning about these additional membership benefits are encouraged to visit our “Join FSO” link, located in the right-hand menu bar.
This new site presents a relevant, meaningful opportunity for professionals dedicated to furthering their clinical knowledge in the field of ophthalmology.
