This prospective study included 15 eyes with non-resolving, superficial microbial keratitis. All cases were culture proven and considered unresolved after two weeks of topical atropine, antibacterials and antifungals. Six of nine patients with bacterial keratitis and three of six patients with fungal keratitis resolved following corneal crosslinking (CXL) treatment. Mean time for epithelial healing was 21.3 days and for corneal infiltrate resolution was 33.44 days. Patients with deep stromal keratitis or endothelial plaque failed to resolve.
