First Coast Service Options Inc. (First Coast) developed its provider Internet portal application -- Secure Provider Online Tool (SPOT) -- to offer secure, online access to Medicare data, including claim status, payment information, benefits/eligibility, and data reports for members of its provider community in Florida, Puerto Rico, and the U.S. Virgin Islands.

The SPOT is also an alternative channel for the electronic submission of various forms through Secure Mail.

The SPOT is a Web-based application (http://thespot.fcso.com/portal) hosted by CMS’ Enterprise Identity Management (EIDM), which is managed by the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS).
Note: The use of First Coast’s provider Internet portal (i.e., The SPOT) is not required and is at the discretion of the user in accordance with guidelines established by CMS’ change request (CR) 7420.
