House Passes Short-Term SGR Fix Including 1-Year ICD-10 Delay
From the American Academy Ophthalmology
ICD-10 could be delayed a year, under a one-year “doc fix” passed by the U.S. House on Thursday. The bill (H.R. 4302) was introduced to avert a 24 percent Medicare physician pay cut scheduled to take effect April 1.
The Academy and numerous other medical associations oppose another short-term fix to the ongoing cuts caused by the sustainable growth rate. The Senate will vote on H.R. 4302 next week. For updates on the bill, go to aao.org/icd10 or follow the Academy on Twitter or Facebook.
